Permanent houses in North Iraq
The Anti-Emigration and Forced Displacement Foundation (hereinafter: AEFD) is a Dutch-Iraqi non-profit foundation that
primarily has the objective to assist the refugees in Iraq who were expelled from their homes by the attack of IS(IS) in the past
period. AEFD intends to provide both material and immaterial assistance to the refugees.
AEFD wants to take concrete steps to alleviate the needs of the refugees. One of those needs is to have proper housing.
Together with a partner we have developed pre-fabricated houses that we can implement on any safe location in Northern
Iraq. We have prepared assembly lines specific for this target group and we have defined a logistic process from the factory to
the actual location where the houses can be constructed in two days.
Please find enclosed a proposal for the long-term supply of 2,000 permanent houses in North Iraq (Arbil region). Obviously it is
possible to provide more houses. The houses will be fully assembled to a high level of quality in The Netherlands in modular
elements. These will be transported by sea and road and will be erected on site after delivery and will be handed over on a
turnkey basis to the owner/user.
We intend to start off with the supply/erection of:
-1,000 W1-60m2 houses (2 bedrooms)
-1,000 W1-90m2 houses (3 bedrooms)
in North Iraq (Arbil region, realisation of new residential area in an area that is likely to be safe).
Our partner is a supplier of modular elements for housing construction. These houses are fully fitted with finishing work,
installations, bathroom fittings, kitchen and white goods. Our partner does not supply utility facilities or foundations.
